Bored

I am at work again. It is a pretty nice night. The hardest part is staying awake. K.C. started school full-time again :(. It is so funny, sometimes when you are around each other a lot, I find things to nag about. Or I have a to-do-list for K.C., since I he is usually so busy, but now that he is back in school full-time, I am sad.
Xayla has a Dr. Apt. tomorrow. We will see how that goes. Just a 15 month check. I can't believe she will be 15 months on the 1st of June!
Nothing else really new here.

Vacation!

We went on vacation. There was good times and VERY bad times.
Good times: Sonyo's graduation: It was on May 26th. It was actually kind of cold there. I was so proud of Sonyo. She has worked so hard to get where she is today. She is actually trying to do what she loves: to write. I can't wait to see what happens with her career from here. We ate at Mimi's cafe after. K.C. Ordered a medium rare burger as he usually does, but I will tell you more about that in the bad news.
Disneyland: We had tons of fun. K.C. is usually not happy with the "baby" rides, but he was actually really good this trip. He let us do whatever we wanted to. It was a lot of fun. It wasn't that crowded either.
The beach: so relaxing. I could have stayed out there all day except Xayla was cranky because she did not sleep well the night before. That is in the bad news as well. Xayla got to use sand toys for once. She thought that was neat.
Angel's games: Very fun. The kids actually did OK. There was a family area where there was face painting and Ronald McDonald. It was really hot one of the days, that was the only bad thing.

Bad news: On Friday night, we were at Disneyland and K.C. started to not feel well. So, we left earlier than I would have liked to. As soon as we got in the hotel, he started throwing up. He threw up all night long until about 4:00 a.m. Xayla kept crying because it scared her. She threw up twice that night as well, and both of them had "the runs". It was terrible. I was trying to take care of Xayla and comfort K.C. Luckily, Kobi still slept well. It was probably from the meat at Mimi's. K.C. was the only one who ate it. Xayla has had diarrhea for several days prior, I just think she had a virus that caused her to start throwing up. I am glad that is over with!
Then, at the beach K.C. got stung by a bee. No fun.

Overall, we did not let the bad things bother our family. We still had a blast, and we got to spend quality time together. Xayla was cranky on the car rides. It is hard to explain to her that we can't let her out of her car seat. We give her toys, snacks, Kobi's gameboy, play a movie, she still cried. Any other suggestions for keeping a child calm on car rides?

That's about it for now! I am going to hang out with Michelle later today. All of our family went out of town, so Michelle so kindly let us barge in at her house for a swim :). It will be fun. I love catching up on things. Xayla is older now as well, and she can actually play with Avery.

My sister at her graduation this weekend from Cal State Long Beach! It was beautiful there. It was a real University. UNLV does not compare to this campus. The only problem was I love flowers and there were tons around, but I have allergies so I sneazed for about 10 minutes after leaving the place! Posted by Picasa

Vacation

I am going out of town tomorrow (I guess it is today now, since I am at work and it is 430 am)with my family to California to visit my sister Sonyo. She is graduating with her Bachelors in Film from California State Long Beach. It is going to be so much fun. We are going to Disneyland after her graduation. Then, we are going to the beach on Sat. and an Angel's game Sat. night and one on Sund morning. I know that is bad. K.C. really wanted to go while we were out there. I am excited to just be away from home and alone. No stress of cleaning the house or just the stresses of everyday life. I am looking forward to it. I will post pictures later!
Oh also, Xayla is taking a few steps on her own. It is so cute. She falls on her but, then cries! :(

Life

I am just working tonight. Not too bad tonight. I have to study for my recertification for my Adult Cardiac Life Support class. What is new in life?
Me: I have just been trying to figure out some kind of schedule. I feel like I need to read more to the kids, take them to the park more, clean the house more, scrapbook more, work-out more, cook more, etc. I just feel like there is so much I should or need to be doing, but I can't get enough done in one day. I don't know if it's the transition of being at home more, and trying to figure out some schedule or if this is how life is at home....still chaotic. Everything evolves around the moods of your children. If Xayla is having a bad day, then, I really get nothing done because I am really holding her all day, but is that so bad? I just feel guilty sometimes to just sit down and relax.
My 10 year high school reunion is coming up! I am excited about going. I have changed a lot personality wise, but I don't think I really changed too much looks wise. I am excited to see how everyone is doing. I am kind of sad because one of my best guy friends passed away the summer we graduated and he won't be at the reunion. Well, that is me in a nutshell.

K.C.: We are probably not going to do the military thing because we don't want to take the chance of our family being split up. He might have to go to war or something, then, we might not see him for a while.
We have been enjoying our time together. This month has been nice. We have been spending a lot of time together. We have been going to a lot of 51's games (OK) and watching a lot of basketball.

Kobi: He had a tooth growing in behind one of his bottom baby tooth. I couldn't stand that his adult tooth was coming in, but his baby had not come out yet. I have been trying to wiggle it for about 2 weeks. I finally pulled it out with a string. He was not very happy with me, but he let me do it, and the Tooth Fairy :) rewarded him! He is so funny. He has two white crowns on his two front teeth. They have silver backs. He said he wants to pull those out next because they are worth a lot of money because they are silver :).

Xayla: She is still crwaling around. She is getting braver. She will take a couple of steps by herself if it is from one person or oblject to another one that is really close, but she will not do more than that. She is going to be crawling to nursery :). She will be 15 months on June 1st. Her hair is getting so long. She loves to point at everything and she always says "Uh" to everything. Or "mamamamamama" when she is mad. Why me? :)

Overall, things are going well. Not too much to complain about!
