Christmas

Christmas was just relaxing. My Mom came over and watched the kids' open presents, which she loves to do. We then went over to K.C.'s parents' house. We played Mario Cart and other games on the Wii. It was fun just relaxing.

Busy

Wow, time has flown! I can't believe it is almost Dec! Well, I've been busy preparing to teach lecture in the Spring and the kids have been busy as well. Kobi is doing well in football. He just started wrestling as well. Xayla is playing soccer, cheerleading, and in gymnastics. Jy is just getting into everything. We love our busy little lives.
For Thanksgiving, we had 2 of them at my house! In the afternoon we had some friends over and K.C.'s parents. In the evening, we had my side of the family. It was busy, but a lot of fun.

Kobi

Kobi is in this program at the Paseo Verde library called "Reading with Rover". It's great. He gets to read to a dog! Here is his dog "Chubby" below. He gets to read to her once a week for 6 weeks. It's supposed to help kids enjoy reading and increase in their reading skills.
So he was bored and made a family out of erasures. He is so funny.

We decided we are going to go private soon as well with our blog because I just realized how easy it is to find our blog. You can type in my first name and it will come up. If you would like to continue to look at our blog, give me your e-mail (if I don't have it already) and I will add you to our private blog. Thanks.

Beach

We went to the beach. It was nice.
The babies playing. They had a blast.

Kobi is loving football. He is soooo fast!

Our little princess.

We went on a bike ride along the beach while the boys went to an Angels vs. A's game. K.C. is a big A's fan so he was so excited they won. We just wished we could have rode the bikes longer. The kids loved it.

Dress up

This is at Legoland. Kobi is getting so big!

So Xayla needs a little sister. She dressed Jy up as Cinderella. Her skirt is around his neck! Poor guy.

At least he is always happy :)

Legoland

This is at Red Robin. Keatyn is not too fond of group pictures.

We went to Legoland and Sea Life. This leash for Jy is great!

Preschool and Birthday

My big big turned 10! It's crazy! Xayla thought it would be funny to have him try on his Kindergarten cap. So funny.
Xayla graduated from Preschool :) So cute. I loved Ms. Baker! One more year of preschool. We are really sad to not be back with Ms. Baker and Ms. Yaya.

Teaching kids about money

So I have been wanting to teach the kids about money for some time now. I could not figure out the best way to do it. I'm sure there is not a perfect way, but I have been reading about it for some time. K.C. sent me a BankRate article that was really good. I bought these bins from OfficeMax and I labeled them into 4 compartments: Save, Spend, College/Retirement, Tithing. The kids have a list of chores to do around the house. They earn an allowance once a week. There is also a list of chores they can do to earn extra money. They get paid at the end of the week. We split the money up so they pay 10% to each area and what is left goes to spend. It's been working great so far. You have to make sure you get small bills and change.
