Brian Head and more pictures

Two posts in 1 day. A record for me. I have to get all my blogging in before the new teaching semester starts for me next week!

I had to work on New Years Eve, but the kids had fun with K.C.!

We were brave enough to try Brian Head as a family trip. It was not how I imagined. We spent more time I think trying to get our clothes on then Kobi spent skiing. Kobi went on the lift 4 times and then started crying for hot chocolate. Xayla cried almost the whole time. She wanted me to hold her. I thought we would play with the snow and tube a litte. It did not happen. She ended up taking a nap in the lodge on a bench on my lap for 45 minutes. I just watched people walk by. I should have brought a book. She did go outside and touch the snow a couple of times after her nap. The pictures were of course after her nap. It was cold. We are going to try it again next year. I hope I will be more comfortable since I will not be pregnant. We are not taking the baby of course. Heh, at least we tried :). It was difficult finding clothes for Xayla. We shopped around. Waterproof pants and gloves were the hardest to find. I found the gloves at Target and the pants at Mevyns.

They thought that this pose they did was soooo funny.

That's Kobi for you.

She is so skinny. Everything falls off her hips. I remember when it was like that before I had kids. Kids give you hips and a butt.

Love/Hate Relationship!

29 weeks

My due date is officially March 30th! I'm excited an nervous for #3. We went looking for mini vans yesterday. I REALLY like the Toyota Sienna 8 seater. I love my Toyotas. I'm going to the Dr's every 2 weeks now! That is crazy.

I have been excited that I have actually been keeping up with my New Years resolutions (Getting up earlier, organizing more, reading scriptures, etc.). I already went through the kids' clothes to get rid of what was too small. I need to make room for the little one. We are having such a hard time with names with this one.

I am so glad that I pulled Kobi out of Cunningham and now he is back at Iverson. It's amazing the difference a child will perform in a more positive environment. I believe that it is very important to have your child in a good school especially if they already have a difficult time in an area (Math for Kobi).

Happy New Year

Life has been a little crazy around here. I am doing some rearranging of the house trying to get things ready for the semester and the new one. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year! I have lot's of goals I am working on. I heard it's better not to set too many goals so you are not setting yourself up for failure. I set some little ones as well, so it should be OK as long as I reach most of the little ones :). We are going to look at cars today. I'm excited.

These pictures are from K.C.'s parent's house. Santa came. They got new bikes!!!

Here is the latest pregnancy picture. I am 28 weeks and K.C.'s sister is 38 weeks.

Do you think Xayla liked the Dentist?

Opportunity Village

The Polar Express

Ward Christmas party

The Polar Express

So, I want to first thank Michelle for warning us about the weather (cold and snow). We were well prepared. I also want to note that the Polar Express was very fun, but I am not sure if it is worth the price. I would be willing to do it every year if it was cheaper for what you get. Just my opinion. Kobi is older and was actually questioning many things. He did say that he saw the Real Santa because Santa had a Real beard. He also said "No one is going to believe me that I saw Santa!" Now some of the not so good highlights:
1. A child directly behind us threw up shortly after the train left the station. It smelt really bad for almost the whole ride. Not very pleasant. It was crowded too, so we really couldn't move.
2. Opportunity Village had way more lights than the North Pole. The movie and the book The Polar Express makes you think of LOTS of lights, for the price your pay, I think there should be more lights.
3. We had a baby in the room next to us the screamed almost all night long. It was sooooo loud. Also since almost everyone that goes to the North Pole stays at the same hotel, it was loud. There were always doors slamming and kids running down the hallway. Maybe we shouldn't have taken the bottom floor by one of the door entrances.
4. Someone that had the room before us thought it would be funny to set the alarm on the clock to go off at midnight. So we were woken up by the loud beeping alarm at midnight in between all of the baby crying.

Overall, it was great hanging out with the family. Xayla liked the ride to the North Pole, but she was ready to get off soon after. I'm just not sure if it is worth what it costs. Maybe it's better in larger groups? I think we are just going to take a family ski trip next year. Just my opinion.

I'll post pictures when I get around to downloading them.

The Polar Express

We are going to the Polar Express tomorrow. We are so excited. I'll post more later. We are doing well. I'm starting to get uncomfortable especially if I eat too much. I feel like I can't breath. The fun is just starting. :)

The Holidays

Wnet to Ethel M Factory to visit Santa and to look at the lights for free over Thanksgiving weekend. My sister, Sonyo, came into town. I'm about 20 weeks along in the pictures. I go for my Dr. apt. on Dec 17th to check again if it's a boy or girl. I'll keep you posted. I am so glad the semester is over for teaching. I need a break. My house is a mess.

Oh Oh

So, maybe I spoke too soon. Now I see why people like Jodie :) choose to wait to see what they are having! You tell me what you think:

What you are seeing is:
bottom right hand side: Xayla's ultrasound
top right hand side: An ultrasound of my little one 10-17-07 (told it was a girl)
left side: my ultrasound today (My official ultrasound appointment with a tech. Last week it was with my Dr. for a quick look.)

What do you think? :)

My due date has changed to April 7th.

We are having another.....

Princess! It's confirmed. It's a girl. Xayla is happy and Kobi is sad. I think it is great that I will have 2 girls close together. K.C.'s sister Sara is having a girl in Jan. as well. Kobi will just be the only spoiled Grandson on K.C.'s side of the family :).

October stuff and update

Went to the Rebel Basketball game this weekend. It was fun. Met up with Spencer and Michelle. I haven't seen Michelle in a long time. It was fun hanging out. I about 20 weeks and Michelle is about 24 or 25 weeks. How exciting. I hope we get together again before we deliver!

Pumkin Patch. The kids loved it.

I love this picture of Xay!

19 weeks along!

Me and my girl! Orange for Halloween.

Dental Christmas party!

Kobi also lost his front two teeth. So all he wants for Christmas is his 2 front teeth! :)

Kobi got new glasses! He just needs to wear them to see the board far away, but he loves them.

Part of Kobi's baseball team picture at his end of the season party.

Some Halloween pictures.

Baby update: Official ultrasound is going to be this Wed. How exciting. Things are going well. I am 20 weeks now! Half way there! It has gone so fast this time. I think because it's #3.

Preschool

I have been really interested in creating some kind of schedule for Xayla with some learning activities, but had no idea where to start. I browsed the internet and found this cool article at this website: (I do not know why the link is not working. I must not know what I am doing.)http://www.heav.org/basicinfo/preschoolathome.html

The website that was really neat was

Check it out. Just thought I would share.

Update

Nothing really new here. I love the holidays. I have been really trying to appreciate things more. I can't wait until next month to find out what we are having. School has kept me really busy. I decided to do something for myself, so I'm taking a short writing class starting the first week of Nov. I'm excited about that. I gave up lia sophia. I just have too much on my plate, and it's just not me. It is a good company. My laptop crashed, so I had to buy a new one last week. I am so glad I have a functioning computer now. Not so happy about having to pick up extra shifts at the hospital to cover for it, but I feel blessed that I can do that if I need to. I grade a LOT of papers. Baseball season is almost over for Kobi. I feel bad that I didn't take as many pictures this time around. Xayla is still afraid to poop in the toilet! It's so frustrating. She is usually dry with naps and bedtime, but she will poop in her underwear every time. This semester is finishing quickly. I can't WAIT until KC is done with school!! After this semester, 1.5 years left. YES!!!! That will make my load lighter.
