Update

I wish I had some pictures to post, but haven't had time. Things are well this way. Jy started preschool. He did not like it at first, but is used to it now. Xayla lost her first tooth! She also got student of the month already. She is doing well in first grade. Kobi is playing football. His new love is basketball for now. He is trying out for the basketball team. I know that it is hard to make it as a 6th grader, but we will kep our fingers crossed! School is a lot of work, but I am surviving.

It's been a while

Wow, I haven't posted in a long time! School has been keeping me really busy! Football is about to start again for Kobi. Xayla wants to start gymnastics again, and Jy is loving soccer! Will add pictures later.

Thanksgiving

Linda and Sonyo came down one week before Thanksgiving. We hung out with mom and ate at her house. Kobi fractured his thumb in football, but is doing well.

I was nominated by my student on the left for Nurse of the Year in Education. The person to the right is my "boss". I didn't win, but it was an honor to have a student nominate me.

Active

I have just been juggling the dental office, school, and the kids. I jsut have to keep remembering my blessings.

What's new

So I basically stopped blogging and reading blogs because K.C. bought his practice and life got really busy. Just a quick note that life is about balancing and I am trying to keep my priorities straight. School has been busy, but good. I feel blessed to have a great family. Xayla started Kindergarten. I was so sad, but she loves it! Jy is doing well potty-training. He is so much easier then Xayla was. Kobi is doing really well at football. He is growing up so fast. Life is overall....good.

We launch our new dental office October 1st. Life will be crazy again!

April 2010

Easter was great. I made breakfast and we, we painted eggs, and we had an Easter Egg hunt in the backyard. Of course we had a talk on the real importance of Easter. My oldest sister, Maria, visited. Sara and Keatyn (and later Scoot) came in as well. We made treats for Xayla's teachers. Xayla drew a card for each of them that was so cute. Finally and most important (except for Easter of course:)), Jy turned 2! Crazy. My baby is 2. (No, not time for another :). He is such a joy. He is sooooo busy. I love his energy, but he gets hurt a lot! He is also unreasonable many times. He is preparing for football by dressing up in Kobi's jersey. He is VERY playful like his Dad. I love him just the way he is.

I never really talked about Xayla at 5. She is really spiritual. She always does things to please Heavenly Father and will correct those that are not pleasing him. She does not like to joke. She is reading small books and writing. She loves school. She is my minny me. She follows me around everywhere. She is just so sweet. She is curios about death as well and often asks me why people die. She wants to be really healthy so she doesn't die is what she tells me :). I love my kids. What blessings.

March 2010

Lot's happened in March. Our little princess turned 5! Crazy. She is starting Kindergarten in the Fall. I can't believe it! We had some friends over at the end of February. We had a Mario Cart Wii challenge. Kobi is still the official champ :). During my Spring Break, we took the kids to Bounce U during family bounce time, and then went to Metro Pizza so that the kids could make their own pizzas. We went with K.C.'s best friend, Grant, and his family. It was a lot of fun. It was also something small for Xayla/Jy's birthday.
Football season is back in full effect. Xayla is still cheering her brother on.
Finally, K.C. and I had our 7 year anniversary! Time flies!

Feb. 2010

We went to a cute restaurant at Lake Las Vegas for Valentines. I can't remember the name of it because my brain is fried. The middle picture is a babysitting night. My neighbor and I rotate so that we can go on dates with our spouse. It has been great! The bottom picture is Xayla's back. She developed an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin! She was so itchy! The bottom right picture is Jy in swim briefs. I love how you can dress your kids up so cute at this age, and they don't care:). Kobi didn't like that we put him in it. We went to one of K.C.'s cousin's wedding.

So I have never posted quarterly before, but this has been one of my craziest semesters. I'll go month by month. Lecture kicked my butt this semester, but I enjoyed it. In January, we decided to try the sled our neighbor got us. The kids had a blast at Mt. Charleston.
